Randy "SlipKnot" Scheidler
from Cambridge, Minnesota
Randy started out his rodeo life as a
bareback rider in the International Professional Rodeo Association in the early
'80s. After eleven years of getting his brain rattled on the backs of
hundreds of horses, he decided to retire.
Not wanting to leave the rodeo life, he
picked up a camera and started taking pictures. That was short-lived.
A call one day from a rodeo stock
contractor changed that. He said he'd heard that Randy had stopped riding
bucking horses and asked him if clowning had ever crossed his mind.
To which Randy replied, "Not for a
second!"
That stock contractor gave him two days
to prepare for his first rodeo performance as a clown.
That was fifteen years ago. Now Randy
has become SlipKnot, performing at rodeos all over the Midwest.
Because in rodeo, if you're asked to
help out, you just do it.
Now SlipKnot entertains the crowds with
new, wild acts, come rain, come shine. And don't be too surprised to find
him sitting next to you in the stands from time to time sharing YOUR popcorn.
But it's not all fun and games. He's
been stepped on by horses, run over by 1800 pound bulls, and thrown 45 feet in
the air.
"Too me life is a collection of
stories. Good or bad ya tell 'em all with a little bit of humor.
